Wise Owl is a consulting philosophy that incorporates faith as a way of life…but in a new way! Our philosophy is based on internal self-acceptance and is driven from the thoughts of inclusiveness instead of separation. This is a system that does not require external validation and/or acceptance. Instead, it allows for oneness, the development of self, and a sense of belonging from within.
…I could surrender and let go in order to realize a new chapter of my life was trying to unfold.
In 2001, I was displaced from a job of 23 years; and, within six months, my husband left me for someone half my age. Looking back, both events allowed for a new chapter of my life to begin but – believe me – this did not happen without a lot of kicking and clawing. I was holding onto a “false sense of security” and I had to get to a place in my thinking where I could surrender and let go in order to realize a new chapter of my life was trying to unfold.
Then, in 2014, my youngest daughter April and grandson Daniel both passed away. As I went through that experience of the “celebration of life,” I realized another chapter was opening for me.
…the solitude allowed me to get to know the authentic part of my real being.
Learning to simply my life meant letting go of the false self-image I had created. The solitude of being alone allowed me to recognize who I really was and what was important to me. The silence during the solitude allowed me to get to know the authentic part of my real being. Silence also allowed surrender with my thinking process. It took me to a different state of mind…one that was (and is) no longer dominated by external object-referral gratification.
…your life changes in every category.
We all ask from time to time, “Who am I? Why I am here? What is my purpose for being alive?” But, we are never quiet enough within to hear the universal life-force speak back to us. I call this life-force, God, that breathed air into me. Use whatever terminology that works for you and sounds right. Don’t get caught up in the words…just listen within.
When you can connect with that life-force on a first position partnership basis, your life changes in every category that includes:
- health and wellness,
- loving relationships,
- community involvement, and
- career/vocation opportunities.
This is the Wise Owl philosophy.
About Norma Nicholson
With many years of experience as a mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, employee, business owner and community volunteer, I have finally found where the real feeling of oneness and sense of belong comes from: it is that partnership with the divine aspect of the life-force that provides the air we breathe. Having lived alone for over 14 years and provided for myself, I am proof that we can change. The key to my success is a peaceful state of mind, no matter what external experience comes forth.
